73 elected by first-past-the-post on the old (1997) Westminister consittuancy basis (although Orkney and Shetland have been seperated into two seats)
56 elected on a party list system voted on my Additional Member System. These MSPs represent the 8 distinct regions on Scotland as decided by the old Euro seats.
