Well, if I remember hearing that you should wait until puberty is over. At that time your body will be ready for a healthy pregnancy, any younger and theres a chance of a c-section, lots of pain & compilations, bones breaking etc., later in life and you have to factor in the chance of genetic disorders, down syndrome

I believe that your age really has no factor in this question. I am 22 and am pregnant with my first. I have a steady relationship, a house of my own, a very good job, and am pretty mature for my age. I would rather work on my life rather than blow it at the bar. Although I have friends my age who still live with their parents, jump from guy to guy, and can't really keep a job. It all depends on the person. I am very excited to have this baby, I am a little nervous, but I think I would be at any age.

In a perfect world.....probably 22 or older with a husband. But it's not a perfect world. I don't think age has as much to do with it as maturity. I had my daughter at 20 and I wasn't married....my sister had hers at 26 and 29, and she is a HORRIBLE mother and our mother is basicly raising the kids. She is into drugs and cares more about herself than her kids. Her going out and drinking or staying at a guy's house is more important than being home with her kids. My daughter goes to my mother's for day care every day (m-f) and is home every night in her crib, with her mommy and daddy. So, at 20, I think I am better than my sister was at 26. The person's age isn't that important!

Let's start with "when is someone old enough to have a baby?" instead of your question. The answer would be: when that someone is old enough to take care of themselves and the child they've created -- they have they're own place to live, they have a job, and they can pay for everything without help from their own parents, friends, relatives or welfare. So in answer to your question, anyone that's not old enough to live as an adult away from "mommy and daddy".

It's not only age that is a factor. You have take financial and emotional factors too. I would never recommend a 25 year old woman on welfare to start having babies.

Personally, I don't think a girl should even think about having kids unless she has a significant other, preferrably husband, is financially stable and emotionally stable. And also, is not selfish, willing to put the baby before her.

I think a woman needs to be mature and responsible and financially ready before she has a baby.
I was 20 when I got pregnant with my son, I was engaged, and we aren't rich by any means....
But I was ready and so very excited..... but I have friends who were married at 18 and weren't ready to have kids until they were 23.....
It depends on who you are, and what your maturity level is!
I think girls under 20 are to young to have kids..... they haven't lived enough of there life to have a life.... I lost alot of my life by having a kid so early, I don't regret it, but I know I missed out on alot of things!!!

Well whoever its for... you should be out of school and able to gain employment so that the rest of society doesnt have to support you and your kid. After that its a personal choice on when you feel ready

When she is financially able to support the baby, have a steady job, and be in a committed relationship.

I think when you are ready to have children as an adult. When you are under 18 you body may have the signs like it is ready to have children period, breasts etc but you pelvis is not, as you grow out of your teen years your birth canal (pelvis) widens young girls have trouble getting larger babies out.
