It costs £1 and you can get it from your local courts. I have done this when the solicitor never proceeded the papers to my husband, so I went and picked it up, paid a quid, and months and months later, we tied the knot... happy ending. Seriously, its only a pound.

When you got your decree absolute, you should have recieved the official document stating so. Unfortunately if you have lost/miss placed this and wish to re-marry for instance, you will have to pay for a copy of it, just like if you have lost/missplaced the original marriage certificate, you would have to pay for a copy before you could get divorced. Unfortunately I think its called 'Thats the way the cookie crumbles'. Try calling your local court and explain the situation, they should be able to tell you who to contact and possibly give you telephone numbers/Email address &/or land address.

im not sure you could get one free,i had to pay £2,for a copy from my local courts,
it cost £2 if you know the date you got divorced,your ex-partner details,etc,but if you dont know these then it normally cost £10,thats in the uk

Well I got a copy of mine in the uk from the court who issued the original and it cost £1.00.

Your attorney should've given you a copy of the final decree/judgement. I would contact his/her office first.
