Hey, why not the invisibility cloak that they reported on a while back? The technology is just about there to actually have one of these things. It seems there would be lots of impact there.

I would write about Bluetooth and the security risks that it poses. Unfortunately, like many other wireless technologies, Bluetooth has been plagued by security threats, from inherent limitations and implementation vulnerabilities to weak configurations and risky end-user practices. Assessing the product security and adopting appropriate configuration and usage policies can help protect business assets and data from these Bluetooth dangers.
There is ALOT of information available on the web about these security risks and dangers. I think it would make for an interesting essay because of the mass popularity of the Bluetooth devices.

What about hybrid cars?
Or even hydrogen cars?
Or bulletproof vests?
hand-held GPS receivers?
bluetooth cell phones?
How about blackberries or other PDAs?
Or prepaid cards.
How about those chips people can plant in their pets or kids?
How about reputation protectors.
Those are people who "fix" your hits on the internet in case you are looking for a job and the hiring firm googles you.
