We'd either be speaking German or Japanese but our economy would be good because the people in India would be calling us for tech support.

We definitely would not be the most influential country in the world. Essentially, any country right now that wants to really do anything has to consider us in their plans. And often solely on economic pressure or the threat of war we can stop countries from going through with plans that go agaisnt what we want. North Korea and Iran may have or come close to nuclear weapons, but they'll be careful anyway about using them because they know we can make them pay for it. If Germany had won the war, while I doubt we'd be speaking German we would not have that same clout.

I would say we wouldn't be under German control because at the time the Atlantic was too big and the Soviet Union too big a threat to Germany for Germany to do anything to get us. Japan had the same problem with the Pacific. Eventually they would have destroyed the Soviet Union, but with so many casualties that they would be unable even together to mount a real offensive against America. It is simply too big and has too much protection on both sides.

Some would argue that they would eventually rebuild and develop technology that would allow them to cross the oceans and then launch a real offensive. I disagree. There is a certain human nature that doesn't take oppression very well. We can take a lot, but sooner or later humans always rise up (not for equality but because they want to be the new rulers). But each uprising, while it will mean a change of rulers, always leads to a new uprising later when the new rulers oppress too much as well. The major reason democracy works so well is that it allows these uprisings to occur without violence (but rather with voting). But back to what I was saying, Hitler would constantly have to deal with this uprising or that uprising always springing up all over his empire. Eventually one or all would gain enough momentum to overthrow him, and the whole process would begin again.

So America would not have been the one to be in power and influence like it is now, but Germany would have fallen anyway. So other than less influence I doubt America would be that much different, maybe a little less cocky (since we would not have been the best for 60 years, we wouldn't feel we could do anything all the time).

Hi there,
If we had lost WW2, America would now be a communist country
with a totally different governmental system.
Our way of life would have been assimilated by the Germans and or the Japanese.
I believe that the divisional differences between our ethnicity's would be radically diminished by unity in order to form a strategic liberation front to take back the country.
Our language, currency politics, ethics...etc....would all be of foreign implementation.
We would be sub-servient to a foreign power.
Therefore, we should awaken every morning with gratitude and mutual respect for our fellow countrymen.
I appreciate and respect these kinds of questions within the
