Flyweight title fight? This one is for the South African boxing fans.
The fight is Friday night in Thailand.

Pongsaklek Wongjongkam is the champion. His record is 62 - 2 (31).
Mhikiza Myekeni is a former South African and IBO jr. Flyweight champ. I know nothing about Myekeni. I have seen video of Wongjongkam a good combination of boxer/brawler. I was hoping the South African boxing fans could shed light on Myekeni. Wong has held the WBC title since 3/2001. Myekeni's record is 21 -2 (8).

The Thais have a reputation for setting the visiting fighters up in poor training conditions. So Myekeni is going to have to suck it up.

Yes he does. Myekeni when he is on form is brilliant. Wongjongkam has had things easy and is reaching the end of his career, though Myekeni's lack of experience may count against him.

SA sportsmen don't seem to travel well (let's not talk about the Rugby team) and I just hope that the homeground advantage is not going to be decisive.
