I cannot have HRT so I was advised to try Menopace. You can get it from your chemist and Asda also stock it now. It takes about three weeks to kick in but it is good. Give it a go it stops the sweats aswell.

Your doctor should be able to help if it doesn't agree with you they can offer different dosages or different ways to take it. Major chemists all stock different herbal remedys that you could try. Or you could just let them past. I only took HRT for 5 Months after Hysterectomy and was given several different things. I also took myself off it and worked through the hot flushes and night sweats it took about a month and now i probably only have 1 ever 2 months. Good Luck hope you find something that agrees with you

HRT is mix of oestrogen and progesterone and replaces what is lost naturally in the body during the menopause. The side effects can be bad, but you should get your doctor to adjust the dose until you find what suits you. It is not a case of one dose suits all cos we are all different.
If you can't take HRT then your doc should be able to put you in touch with a qualified alternative therapist.
Failing that try
NHS direct, they will have a number for sure. Make sure you go to someone qualified.
Try not to be anxious, what is happening is natural, but it is still a big deal when it is happening to you. It can be scary waking up in the night getting hot from the feet up, heart racing like thunder, then a big massive sweat!!
Anxiety, forgetfullness, irritability, mood swings, they are all a pain in the bum but unfortunately are all part of the menopause.
It won't last forever, keep cool, pamper yourself, and try to enjoy life!!
Good luck - if it's any consolation I've got it all too come!!
