I mean these people have a god given right to learn if they want and gunmen and militia keep attacking them. Is there a group where one could donate money or something. Why are the militia's targeting them?

I don't want to give them money for their education what I want is them to be safe because it will better for the Iraqi's to have some educated people as they are less likely to be terrorist and more likely to encourage nonviolent solutions for their country. I guess you are right though help needs to come from their government and not outside sources.

The militias are targeting civilians and blaming their violence on the US presence there. They claim if we leave the violence will stop... oh yes... they have a bridge in California for sale also. The militias know the US id divided in its support for the war, so they are using that against us, at the expense of Iraqi civilians. I think if the US were more united in its efforts, the violence would at least slow down if not stop.

Of course we didn't have militias going around killing folks, but remember, it took us 10 years to come up with a constitution after the declaration of independence. Uniting any group of people under one self government is not an easy task.

Do you mean help other than the over 2,000 American service men and women who have already died trying to help them and everyone else in Iraq? Or the BILLIONS in US tax dollars that have been spent?

It's a bit naive to think that donating a few cents will do any good while that country is still in turmoil and the different factions are fighting with each other and attacking their own people and even the full force and might of the US Military can't straighten it out.

Money did not give my education a start, if anything it dictated. what kind of good education has a foundation built on money? The mind is going to keep on learning and coming up with ways to teach itself without money. ask someone who has done it , they can tell you how the best educations are learned and who the best teacher is.( God).

They need to be armed. Firing a weapon is nothign new to a iraqi. If each carries a pistol they can defend themselves and their friends. Because they can obviously trust no one, even those in uniform.

Each student and teacher who carries a pistol can use it when they feel their life is in extreme danger.

Right now t he malitias are targetign them because t hey can. Th malitias are the only ones (besides militarry) that are armed. They know the cities have been disarmed by us forces (even innocent civilians been disarmed).

Disarmed civilians = a victem who cannot fight back against a terrorists bullet. Terrorists know they can go and not even be fired at.

We blew what chance we had to help when we chose democrats in the last election. The terrorists know that the dems will cut and run soon and want to be ready to take over Iraq, probably Afghanistan too.
