That's up to you. Koreans eat black dogs, Vietnamese, I here eat cats, I have eaten rabbits, Germany they eat horses. Just kill it quick and as painlessly as possible.

I think that's generally frowned upon,if you're talking about cats/dogs.Pigs,sheep,poultry,or cows, however, feel free to partake.I like meat as much as the next person, but wouldn't you feel just a tad bit bad if you were eating an animal you once knew?My aunt lives on a farm and we were sitting at the table eating hamburgers, and she asks me how the burger was.I said it was great, and she goes casually"Yeah, that was Ferdinand.",One of the bull calves I had made friends with the summer before!I guess if you grow up with it it doesn't seem weird, but still...

I have a small farm and a few cows, horses, ect. I would say I consider them pets, they are intelligent and and social and like to see me, like having an outside dog or cat. And I butcher and eat the cows and the turkeys and the chickens, I'd eat one or two of the horses if the rest of the family would agree to it. They main thing is you treat them well while they are alive and kill them quickly. I guess if you wanna give thanks you can do that, too.

ummmmm what kind of pet?? I mean if you live on a farm with Turkeys, chickens, and pigs... then I guess that would be considered livestock and not pets... But if your talking about your guinea pig or dog or something then I'd say you have issues. I think you should re-word your question....

If the animal is considered a pet, I don't know how you would even consider doing this. I am an avid animal lover so I would find it hard to kill any animal unless it was suffering. I'm sure you can find another way to give thanks.

I don't understand. Why would you eat your pet? That's not what pets are for.
