The only way the police will get involved is if you have got item`s off bright house in a false name , and then not paid for the item`s . there is no law to stop you getting stuff in assumed name`s but it becomes a criminal offence when you do not pay for the item`s , then it becomes fraud and that is a criminal offence so the police will come and get you if this is what you have done ! If however you haven`t then they will take you to county court to recover the item`s or take article`s from your home , they can only do this if they have had a court order allowing them power to enter your home what will happen first is they will come and to a content`s valuation then give you chance to pay up , if that is not resolved then they will enter your home ! by the time bailiffs get involved the amount you owe will treble and then some ! best to try to arrange a payment plan with bright house to resolve the issue ! OR .......... Move away and don`t register on the electoral role for 5 year`s .. but " I " Didn't mention that !!!!!

AS above, but wether they take you to court or not your credit rating will be screwed and you wont be able to buy anything from another one of these **** prey-on-the-poorer companies or catalogues etc again. Will also affect going for mortgages, loans etc.
If you are worried try to sort out a payment plan with them, but they will prob. add interest or contact consumer direct who could sort out a debt advice session for you.
Good luck.

if you owe them money (or they think you do) they can take you to court. Most companies wouldn't bother for under £50 as it's too much hassle....
they can also get bailiffs round to try to collect, and then the debt would cost more, but they can't force their way in so don't panic

why were you buying from them anyway..they are a rip off company..they will not get the police to you.. they will take you too court. then the judge will look at your income, and you will have to pay them back at a reduced rate.
