Like Sir Richard Branson is a successful entreprener, also do you have to be English to be a sir/lady or can you just be British?

Knighthood is reserved for the British. Honorary knighthood can be given to anybody the Crown chooses to Honor with it.

Look into OBE and etc. if you crave honors that can be earned more easily than inherited.

Bunch of meaningless fluff these days.

You have to be very skilled at something. ie, acting or managing. No you do not have to be a sir/lady, but most people who become a sir or lady are famous. I don't think you have to be english, but im not sure on that, sorry!
Hope this helps!
Merry Christmas!
