To really be comfortable and to enjoy the whole nursery experience I think you need a number of items. As you are due in June you have some time to get them all too.

changing table, bouncey seat (with lights and music), stroller/car seat combo, high chair, you will need a chair just for the baby when it gets older, baby bathtub, swing (with music too), playpen,bassinet, mobile and crib set, lamp so you can see at night, baby monitors (perferable with the video feature), lots of clothes, glider and ottaman, diaper genie, front carrier for the baby,breast pump, diaper bag, bottles, gate, corner guards, stove guard, toilet seat putter down thing, baby bottle warmer, wipe warmer, bibs, spoons, sippy cups, bottle brush, dishwasher basket, pacifiers, diaper covers, rash ointment, baby nail trimmers, thermometer, crib sheets (2-5), recieving blankets (2-5),night light, LOTS of diapers, electrical outlet covers, nightlight, towells and washclothes (2-5),activity gym, baby bath, diaper stacker, growth chart, humidifier, car seat toys, bottles, formula,one piece outfits (4-7), one piece pajamas (4-7),cotton shirts (4-7), Jacket (1),socks and booties (4-7), cap or bonnet (1-3),baby book. I think that should be a good start. But plan on it only lasting you about 6 weeks for the clothing. Good luck and Congrats.

It depends on where your planning on putting the baby. We bought my twin boys a playpen that had the convertible bassinet on top, they never used it, they slept in my bed the whole time. We had their whole room set up crib, rocking chair, dresser, changing table. They slept in their crib maybe like ten times at the most and used the changing table like twice. I would invest in a swing however, I had some graco carseats and the ysold an inexpensive swing that you would just put the carseat in, very convienient especially when your going somewhere or coming from somewhere because it allows the baby to sleep a little longer while you settle in. I would wait on the highchair, the baby won't need it until about 6 months or so, depending on how much it can sit on its own. If your getting your gifts from a babyshower then definetly go for the highchair, crib, swing, carseat, stroller, etc. But if your purchasing it on your own buy as you go along, you can sell alot of your gently used to resale shops and make a little money back to buy the next product.

not necessarily considered furniture- but a stroller that a baby can sleep in, that folds small enough so as not to fill your entire trunk and has some type of tray in front will make all the difference for you in terms of getting out of the house and having a life when your baby is newborn to pre-walker. A front carrier of some sort is also very useful especially if you have a colicky baby or one that just cries a lot (like mine did). Neither has to be very expensive.

I just want to say that you don't NEED a changing table...in fact, many people say NOT to use them, as they are dangerous and the baby can fall off quite easily. Of course they are made now with a little "lip" at the front to help stop rolling off, but it's still not the safest thing you'll buy. I have one, but it's more like a dresser with the changing table on top, and I hardly ever use it...I find it easier to just change my son on the floor wherever I am, instead of walking upstairs every time he needs a diaper change.

That said, besides a car seat and crib, you don't need anything...but some great things to have are a good stroller, a swing (my son LOVED his swing), a good rocking chair for you to nurse or just rock with your baby.

I believe that besides the crib and the car seat you would most likely need;
1. Feeding chair (With a tray that locks, but is easy to remove)
2. Changing table (Not really needed though definitely a plus)
3. Stroller (great for showing your baby the world)
4. Sit and swing (Like a car seat but meant for indoors.)

You've got the two big ones figured out already, the car seat and crib. Some car seats double as a rocker/basket, which is very handy. A highchair's also good to have, as is a portable playpen. Just check all these out well, be sure they are safe.

A stroller.
Later, one of those round things with the seat in the middle and toys all around will be helpful. (bouncey seat - I was totally blanking there)
A rocking chair is great.

You don't NEED anything other than a car seat and somewhere for the kid to sleep.

The major things are a crib, dresser, carseat, stroller, high chair, swing, playpen. A changing table isn't exactly necessary, the top of my daughter's dresser is one but because I'm shorter I prefer to just change her on my bed on one of those waterproof lap pads.

You need a bath, somewhere to store clothes (wardrobe or chest) and a changing mat. You will need a pram or buggy of course. Thats about all the basics. Of course you can gets loads more stuff if you want to but when they are small the actually need very little :D
