set the whole house up ready for romance. no kids at first. no light bulbs, all candles (perferably scented). lingerie...a must. soft music playing on surround sound (barry white, al green, and keith sweat work for me). wine chilling next to the bed with 2 glasses waiting by a bowl of strawberries, sugar, and whip cream. make slow love for at least an hour (don't let him finish too quick) with lots of kissing all over his entire body.

you get the idea!!!!!

My sisters husband was gone for a long time too, so I helped her make cute little clues on paper, then hid the first few in the house. Each clue rhymed and it would lead her hubby to the next clue. Then the clues began leading him out of the house, into the car where he found another clue that sent him to one of their favorite hangouts, where he found another clue that ended up sending him to a Hotel room where she was waiting in cute lengerie with no kids and no other worrys except the two of them being together. It was fun for the both of the and it was such an unusual welcome home present, so it made it that much more exciting when they got to see eachother.

If you have enough time, maybe create a scrapbook with pictures from the past 6 months. Maybe pictures that your children drew and brought back from Kindergarden, School.....And pictures that you took of all of you guys (if you did) and write about something that might have happened...
Maybe throw him a welcome home daddy-party. Let your kids (i'm not sure how old they are) draw a banner with Welcome Home daddy on it.
Just some ideas, get creative!!

after the initial homecoming let grandma take the kids and treat your hubby to a candle light evening of passion. Romantic music candles sented sheets. Sexy lingerie. I think he will get the message. Let the kids be part of the initial homecoming by making signs and helping with the food. Your smiles, kisses and hugs will probably be all he needs.

Thank him for all of us who appreciate his

Have his kids make him home made presents, he will love this... Then make him home made food. After this put the kids to bed and watch a movie together or just spend some quite alone time I am sure he will appreciate it.
