whenever I go to parties or social gatherings, I come home feeling drained. Like I feel like people was sucking my energy for themselves or something. That's why I hesitate going to parties sometimes. And today, I came home from my boy's birthday party at school and I left the school feeling drained AGAIN. I wish I knew who was feeding off of my energy.
Has anybody had this experience before and what do I do to protect myself against energy vampires?

Also, when someone does not like me, they send me negative vibes and I end up feeling mentally drained and sometimes sick too. Help!

You seem to be a person that likes his own company, that is fine in the company of others as long as you can control when you leave.
I believe you are drained because when you go to a function you didn't really want to go to in the first place, it makes you have to be "ON", all the time you are there. You have to be interested in people and things that normally don't interest you.
You are exhausted at the end of the function because your brain has run a mental marathon and is exhausted.
Since you have a son, you will have to find something from school you both enjoy, that way it won't be so hard for you, it might even bring you pleasure, and kids are very intuitive, he might be picking up on your stress when you get home, and he may feel it is his fault.
Love him, hug him, kiss him, be glad you have a son who is alive for you to share all these wonderful things with, and yes, in time, they are all wonderful
God Bless

Often the food served at parties (white flour, white sugar items) is bad for the blood glucose levels and so 'tiredness' is a common side effect.
Although your hostility towards the other people could be a factor . . . really, what is so valuable about you that would turn others into vampires around you ? Are you some great being ? I don't think the Dali Lama has that problem and he IS desirable as company. We don't know you so maybe you are so 'great' or maybe you just have great ego (unjustified).
But try avoiding the food with bad blood glucose reactions first.

Sometimes social vampires drain a person's energy, but sometimes people set themselves up to be sucked dry. They are feeling listless to begin with and talk themselves into feeling more drained after an event they don't want to attend. Maybe you just need a break from the usual routine- but it wouldn't be fair to deprive your child of activities completely.

I dont think of its power vampires... yet I do have some organic and organic motives for this. initially, do you kill watches? some human beings emit too plenty electromagnetic power and it kills digital contraptions inclusive of watch batteries, cellular telephones, automobile clickers...something that they consistently shop on themselves. by way of slightly study i've got those days executed, i've got additionally found out that whilst its organic for THEM to emit that EM field, it relatively is going to drain some who've severe cases of it... incredibly much like a battery going lifeless. i comprehend this would sound stupid, yet get a metallic bracelet and placed on it each and every of the time. See if which will draw the countless EM field back to you. Like I suggested, I cant verify if this is why... yet theory i'd permit you comprehend. stable success
