I typically start my period mid-morning on Wednesday (I'm on bc, so it is very regular). This month I missed two pills and my husband and I are wondering if we might have gotten preg. I haven't started yet, but it's only like 4 hours late...is it too early to take a hpt?

I always say, What can you hurt by taking a test? If it is positive then you will know, if it is negative, wait and try again in a few days. Good luck.

I would not test just yet because your on the pill and you are regular think what missing 2 days of the pill could do to your cycle. if you are really concerned just live as though you were preg and then if you dont start in a couple of weeks then test, it would be more likely the results would be accurate then, now i dont think the hormones would show up yet.

Just to be safe, I'd probably wait until tomorrow (or even a couple of days) to even test. Four hours late doesn't really seem to be t h a t late to me. I mean there's still many hours left in the day to get your period.

Although, I don't really know too much about hormone BC. There's no harm in testing now. Worse comes to worse, it'll come up negetive and you've wasted money.

I would suggest that you wait two weeks after you had unprotected sex, if that test is negative, wait another two weeks and test again, if that is negative as well, go for a blood test at your local clinic. That would be best, all considering that your cycle is regular, good luck :-)

depending on its sensetivity you can test atleast 4-5 days before your missed period. i tested 4 days before my missed period and still got a positive reading with the clearblue digital. i also used the ept +/- 2 days before and there was a faint line. so it did detect the hcg. but since you're on the pills i'm not sure if that would interfere with the test. doubt it, but its your money and you can test as soon as 4ish days with certain ones..

Go head take a test, how long have you been on the pill? Your chances are low of getting pregnant but ther is always a chance!

Yes. Even if you were pregnant the hormone wouldn't show up yet. Wait until you're due for your period and test.

Yes. Hold off. Go for a meal, go to a movie. Four hours? Holy Moly!

There are pregnancy tests out there that can detect pregnancy days before you are even due to start your period. Try one! Good luck either way!
