I need advice on putting together a Nursing computer
program to eliminate the long hrs typing. Like short cut to medical words without typing out everything! Just some advice on couple of things to do or ways to find out more information.

Dragonspeak is good software to speak into, but it doesn't understand shorthand, you have to be very literal with the program.

If you're able to use a word processing package like Microsoft Word, there are usually ways to enter in shortcuts called autotext. That way, if you have a long word like photosynthesis and you start to type it, Word will fill in the rest for you.

Another option would be to download a macro program that allows you to set up keyboard shortcuts. That way you could press something like Ctrl+Alt+P to have the macro program type the word for you. EZ Macros would be a good place to start for that.

This doesn't really sound like you would need a actual program to do it, there are functions in Microsoft word that can do stuff like this for you, without any knowledge of computer programming, the macro function for instance.
