YES because in the U.K if you leave a job voluntarily no matter what the reason you cannot get govt assistance for 6 to 8 weeks but if you are fired you can. Also if you leave one job and start another but that company stops trading or goes bankrupt in the first 6 weeks you are there you also aren't entitled to any assisstance

Nope!! Never been fired..
Besides why would you, just quit.....
It looks a WHOLE lot worse on you resume or work history to have been fired than to quit a job....

yes, I was working as a bartender and was late for work every shift, was rude to customers and gave away heaps of free drinks (which is essentially theft) and in the end I just left, cause the boss was to stubborn to fire me.

yes, i didnt show up for work one day but they never fired me
