Dieon. When teams game planned for him, they had no intention of throwing to his side of the field. Both are great players and first ballot Hall of Famers.

In terms of a better defensive player it is a close race. Deion Sanders had the height, speed, and hands to cover the best receivers of his day and take them completely out of the game. Darryl Green, on the other hand, while lacking the size to physically match-up against the tall receivers, made up for it by sheer aggressiveness and fundemental skill. Deion would either drag you down, dive at your legs, or go for a strip. Darryl would hit you...hard. Deion was an awesome cover man, but Darryl was a better all-around defensive man.
Overall though, Deion could contribute a lot more on the field than Darryl. Both returned kicks and punts, but Deion could also line-up as a wide receiver, and pretty good one too. To Darryl's credit, his impact during a game, off the field AND in the locker room was tremendous. Deion was "me-me-me", Darryl was "team-team-team".
My vote is for Darryl. (and i'm a cowboys fan)

Darryl Green was better, because he was a football player, Dieon was a *ussy, he would defend a pass but avoid making a tackle.

I guess that depend on how you want to define 'better'.
Both guys were great corners, no doubt. Both fast, both 'shut down' guys. That said, my pick, out of the two would be Darrell Green, for a few reasons.
1) Team player and great voice/role model in the locker room. He would put the team before himself.
2) He was one of the greatest cornerbacks of all time, maintaining his quality of play over a very long career.
3) Deion's tackling was poor and he was not much of a factor in run support
4) Fastest man alive - 4 time champ

Darryl Green because in addition to a great cover guy he also supported the run. Neon Deion was probably one of the best cover corners of all times but wouldn't give up his body for run support. Therefore, my vote goes to Green. He was more of a complete player.
