When you install your iPod you will be prompted to search your computer for music files. You can import them at that time. In addition, you can use any number of ways to get music into your computer once your iPod is installed.
Best of luck...I love my iPod.

iPod won't play WMA (Windows Media Files) so you would have to convert them. I think you can use mediamatch as well but if I were you I would use iTunes as it's very user friendly, totally compatible with the iPod and converts songs to AAC (advanced audio coding) which are better quality and lower size than MP3's. Just stick your CD into your computer, open iTunes and click on import CD. If yr computer is connected to the internet it will find all the track names for you and then you just goto the iPod preferences and tell it to load all your music or just the stuff you select if you have more music than space on the iPod.

ok. an ipod is an mp3 participant. mp3's are solid high quality songs. Itunes is this technique necessary to be able to placed songs on the ipod. regrettably they ought to stay on the laptop. plug ur ipod contained in the usb even as itunes is on and receive the soongs onto it.

DONT BOTHER WITH MUSICMATCH!! if you drag the files into your itunes library, it will ask you if you want them to be converted to an accesible format (I think AAC) also, you can add files to iPod using windows media player instead of itunes
