I'll be 41 in 10 days. My husband is 54.
There is a formula for the age difference thing.
Divide your age by 2 and add 7. That is the youngest you should date
Multiply by two and subtract 14. That is the oldest.

There are no absolutes here, but some general guidelines for good mental health and strong relationships:
-The younger you are, the more the age difference matters. While in high school, date someone in high school. While in college, date someone college-aged.
In your early 20s, allow a five-year age range in either direction (five years older OR younger than you).
In your late 20s and early 30s, you can widen to a ten-year age range.
Beyond ten years, couples tend to have much less in common; more than twenty years makes for serious problems and should be avoided.
-The largest age difference I personally ever experienced was 8 years (my early/mid 20s to his early 30s). We were at different stages in our lives and it didn't last long.
-I think a 19-yr-old is at a very different stage in their life from a 30-yr-old, and the little they may share in common is not enough to sustain a mature and fulfilling relationship.

I think it's okay. I'm of "legal" age, and I would happily date a man in his late 20's or early 30's. My only problem is 13 year olds dating men in the their late 20's. There is something a little wrong with that, and not necessarily on the part of the girl.

The largest age difference i have ever experienced was 7 years. He was 7 years older than me and i am only 18. So i dont think age should matter as long as you are happy being in that relationship.

I don't think age differences matter, as long as it is legal. I was 19 and my husband was 28 when we got married. I think as long as you're mature enough to know what is going on, what's the big deal? But I also think young women should know the person good. I wouldn't recommend an 18 year old to go on a blind date with a much older man, it could be dangerous.

Late teen years is still too young to be dating someone that much older. Ten years is a big difference until you are in your late 20s or even older. Right now your interest are so different. And if you tell me he is interested in the same things you are I'd tell you he is immature. Sure, you could be mature for your age, but even so, ten years (at this age) is just too much.

To your first question, I'd say about age 30.
To the second, I know a couple who are about 30 years apart in age. The woman was in her 50s when they married. The man was older. They seem happy.
I don't think it a good idea for someone who is still a teenager to date someone in his 30s. I'd be more worried about the maturity (or immaturity) of the older person.

It depends on the situation Mynx. It is a very tricky relationship to pull off and many frown on it. I was in such a relationship and had a great time. It lasted almost a year. She went into the military to further her education and I could not go with her. We still talk from time to time over the Internet and things are cool. The relationship was helped a great deal because both her family and mine were ok with it, nobody else mattered to us.
BTW she was 19 and I was 34, you can do the math. Good luck.

1. when you are the legal age and you are mentally mature, you can date as old as you want.
2. I dated a guy that was 3 years older than me once.
3. yeah, it's totally ok if you guys can keep up with each other, its about the bond and how well you relate with one another.
