Well unless the Doc see's a penis, it's a girl. The shape of your belly is normally different with a girl as to when you're pregnant with a boy.
Just remember...it's more likely to be a boy if said to be a girl than if it;s said to be a boy than to be a girl.
Only Amnio's(s/p) will tell you the exact sex of your baby. Good luck!

i will say this. My sister doctor swore my nephew was a girl. Several ultraounds were done. They claim to have seen labia perfectly. Then my sister had an amnio and it showed boy and he was born a week later. Also with my niece the doctor (different doc) swore she was a boy. Saw penis and testis etc, have pictures of it and she was a girl in the long run.
Either way your baby is already either a boy or a girl, nothing you can do to change it all you can do but sit back and hope they were right

I was told with my last child it was a girl because the doctor didn't see a penis. We had the nursery in pink and purple and the dresser stocked full of girl clothes. I was really excited because I already had a boy. In the delivery room right after they pulled the baby out they said "It's a boy!!!" Ultrasounds are never 100%. I even carried this baby so different than my first boy. I wish you luck and cross my fingers it's a girl!

My ultrasound Tech told me too it was a girl and it was a boy. Looks like your little one might be playing the shy game. If you are in serious need to know the sex, ask your OB for a CVS test, insurance covers it 100%. The fluid extracted will have DNA in it and will tell you which chromosome is present more than another. If that is something not for you, just wait a little longer, baby will stop flipping and turning as there is less space for he/she to move around and the Tech will be able to get a better look. I didnt find out until I was 35 weeks. Good Luck to you and Congrats

Unfortunately the ultrasound diagnosis of the child's gender is never 100% accurate- only an amnio is. I also had doubts when told that the technician saw the "lines". However technology is just getting better and better and the techs that operate the U.S. machines know their jobs pretty well, and aren't usually wrong- so if they think it's a girl it probably is. They just can't say they are 100% sure it is a girl, that's all. BTW my baby did turn out to be a girl!

same thing happened to me. .. two boys, then the ultrasound tech said my third will be a girl. (the tech said she could see my daughters' ovaries in the ultrasound). I was skeptical and was afraid to buy ANTHING pink. Turned out to be a girl, though. :) The ultra sound was at 20 weeks. Good luck, sounds like the girl is on her way! (Man, you will be able to see the difference in her from your boys EARLY on! My kids are 9, 7, and 5)

At 22 weeks, I am sure it was clear enough to see the sex correctly. There is about a 1-2% chance it's wrong, but I would say it's a girl...congrats!

they couldn't tell me 100% with my daughter either. you can get an amnio done and they can tell by chromosomes but who wants a needle in their belly? You can ask your doctor to repeat the ultrasound in afew weeks and they will be able to tell the sex better or contact a clinic that does 3D or 4D ultrasounds. Congrats and good lucks

Hon, the doc might point out what he thinks he sees on the ultrasound and you still won't know for sure until the day it comes out. You can't be sure.

I wouldn't go out and buy girls things because a doctor is not always right. I know a woman who was told she was having a girl but she had a boy.
