Tell me what you think about this question a man asked last night. His screen name was Gentle. It was a bit disturbing to me. I don't know why. Maybe it's the part where he says that the situatoin ended unhappilly. Here it is.

At what age should I stop seeing my little girl naked?
Got your attention? Good. This is a serious question, so come on Moms help me out. About 5 years ago I had a girl and her daughter move into my apartment. The little girl is NOT my biological daughter, but she always called me "Daddy". Somewhere around age 5 she suddenly became very modest - is this normal? Is it different because I'm not her real Dad? The situation ended very un-happily - and the girl is no longer in my life. To those of you who pray, please do so for her - and those of you who don't, please keep her in your thoughts. And to those of you who have an unkind or in-sincere reply - you're forgiven...

I think age 5 is a good time to become modest and not want to be seen naked. By that time the child should no longer need assistance in the bathroom or with dressing. As for the situation that ended unhappily, I don't know what that means. Maybe he meant that he broke up with the girl's mother. Maybe he was just asking out of curiousity?

till you reside at a nudist camp 8-10 is a sturdy age to stop. If that's only at living house and working around nude contained in the living house in front of you and not your spouse. There are some subject concerns to handle. be careful you do not get categorized a intercourse criminal.

I think it should stop whenever either party becomes uncomfortable--often, little kids will stop wanting the opposite-sex parent around while bathing, etc., once they realize that "boys and girls are different." Since the little girl got uncomfortable, it was a sign that he needed to give her privacy.

around the age of five, for a girl to suddenly become modest about her nudity is normal, yes. sometimes they do sooner than 5, sometimes later.

yeah that sounds pretty freakin' weird. i think that at least one side can just "tell" when it's time to stop seeing your daughter (or someone else's daughter) naked; if either side thinks it's time, then it's time.

i'd say leave it to her, if she feel unconfirtable then the time has come
