Better meaning Value or Bang for the buck, I would have to choose the Honda S2000.
Better meaning "look at me and how much I spent on myself", I would choose the Lotus.

I would agree with Yopop on that.
But if you're looking at buying one of these cars..........why not add in the EVO or STI?
Way more bang for the buck than these 5. The EVO and STI (stock) is definetly quicker than the Elise, Boxter, and S2000 on the 0-60 and quarter mile. Not too sure vs. the M or the SLK.

Without getting all geeky technical on you, it depends what you like, raw torque, agility, style...All are great:
- Elise is light and agile,
- Honda makes a ton of power for that small engine,
- all german cars are great
but I would rate the Porsche on top then BMW then Mercedes
Porsches are practically race cars; they hace great weight distribution, Merecedes are the most luxurious, while BMWs are in the middle
Watch out for the new M6 coming out

Slk55 amg best for class
S2000 is a great priced car
The bmw is very pricey........expensive to maintain
Boxter and lotus are sissy cars
If price doesnt matter stick with the AMG

For starters it depends on your budget if you are looking to buy. Personally i would boycott all the above and if buying a high performance car it would be a Lexus IS200 cos they look good hold there value and are very very very quick. But again it is ofcourse personal choice
But from your selection i'd go for the merc, great car and looks amazing, Not very reliable if doing a lot of mileage but more reliable than the others listed above
