So most of the anime / manga that I have been exposed to is stuff on cartoon network or classic stuff like Voltron or Ranma 1/2. I'd really like to find the new stuff. Stuff that's only in scanlations so far cause it hasn't reached the western world yet. Any suggestions of any good but isn't "here" yet anime?

Thanks

Alot of good manga are already at bookstores, it's just that scanlations are often much ahead than what's published.

666 Satan had been slowly boosting up in popularity. Since it's done by the author of Naruto's (twin) brother, you could expect some similarities along the line...It's not as satanic as it sounds.

Angel Heart is currently airing in Japan, and is pretty new. It seemed to have received some good ratings at Animenewsnetwork. BECK was also rated high, but only the manga is released in English. The English translation of Air Gear and Hunter x Hunter manga is published, but I have yet to hear its anime counterpart being dubbed. The author of Hunter x hunter never finished due to illness.

Try the Anime News Network website for up to date releases. Also, some of the US production companies have their new licenses posted - look them up to find out what is new in Japan and soon to be coming to the US. Anime magazines have that same info also.

There are plenty of manga!! I personnaly read, The hating girl, Togari, Death Note and other that I can't remember. If you are not offended by mangas that are more mature (violence, sexual content) i suggest Berserk, Basilisk, and Gantz. Here's a link where they give off free scans so you might take a look of what interests you.

Last time I checked (last year) NO! But hey, they haven't released Hershey and Reece and all those little goodies into most shops in Oz. Only the independent ones :(
