I want to do it this weekend. We usually put up all of the decorations the week of Thanksgiving. I takes about a week to do both the inside and outside decorations. But, this year I've had to put my hubby in the hospital a couple of times here recently and I am so thankful to have him home that I want to start celebrating early!

I put mine up the day after Thanksgiving. I would like to do it sooner but I also like to keep each holiday a separate entity. So, what I do is get up really early after mapping out any place I might shop the day after Thanksgiving (only if the deal is extra good) go shopping, then go have breakfast with my family. Go home, take a short nap, get up and get all the Christmas decorations out and decorate the house, of course after putting on the Christmas music. We then start watching all the Christmas movies. Wrap all the presents as we buy them. Have the Christmas cards sent out by the first, and do all the Christmas baking for gifts made and given out the first weekend of December (so the treats can be enjoyed b y everyone while they prepare for the holiday). Then we do all the fun things around town, caroling, looking at lights, take in a Christmas pageant, lunch with an old friend...wow I over answered but man do I love the holidays! (We do something special for each one not just Christmas)
Have a GREAT day and Seasons Greetings!

I put my tree up last weekend but will wait to turn the lights on until Thanksgiving. This gives me time to get all the decorations out and looking good before family comes over.

I usually put up my decorations Thanksgiving night or the next day and get my tree that weekend. But this yr since we moved and we have a fireplace we are going to wait alittle while to put up the tree to avoid a fire.

on or about 12-23- as all I'm doing is a fiber - optic tree and a banner plus a few candles. the less I put up the less there is to take down. moved out of town after I retired so will not be doing much as all my family and many friends are at my hometown.
