Go to website..Babyhopes.com
Enter your info and you can print out a calendar which will tell you exactly what days you need to know as well as some tips on how to predict ovulation by observing your body senses.. As far as physical changes to find out...some women get a cramp on either the left or right side of the abdomen...kind of like a menstrual cramp..when they release an egg. (I do) one month it is on the left, the next it is on the right.
The website though...it worked for me!

I used the basal body tempature method when trying to conceive. It is a special thermometer, but it involves charting the temps every day. The fluctuations will tell you when you ovulate. They are sold in most drug stores, with the instructions.
Every woman is different.
There are also signs you can tell by your vaginal mucus...like thick, to clear and moist... ect. I dont want to give you the wrong info, but i believe it is when the discharge is clear and sorta stringy like egg white, that you are ovulating. you can find more info by searching the web on the topic with a search engine. Also call your public health nurse or doctor to get a better description or ideas.

The only way I know of that you can truly tell is by basal body temp. When you chart your temps they will show you when ovulation occured. There are other signs (a twinge in your side, egg white cervical fluid, etc) but not all women have those. Read Toni Weschler's book "Taking Charge of your Fertility". She explains everything well.
