I asked my doctor this and he said NO. There is a difference between a regular period and a woman BLEEDING while pregnant. Bleeding could mean any sorts of things. Good or bad. Now a period is something different he said. If you were pregnant you wouldn't have a period, but some people do get bleeding. If you actually had a period he said you would lose the baby. So the answer is no. This doctor is well educated and I trust him.

I don't understand it but my grandmother said she got her period for 3 months while pregnant with my uncle. So of course she did not know she was pregnant until about 4 months into the pregnancy when she started to show. However I don't know how heavy the period was or how long- it could have just been spotting which can be normal in the beginning. Nevertheless if you suspect pregnancy for other reasons- like painful breasts, frequent urination, food cravings, nausea etc yet are still bleeding, your hormone levels should still indicate pregnancy if you actually are- have you tested yet?

It happens alot to alot of different women, everyone is different, lol....I wouldnt say that the bleeding is an actual period. My implantation bleeding lasted 8 weeks, my Dr thought it might have been a miscarriage, but it wasnt so for me. My son was born very healthy.

I think that women confuse implantation bleeding with periods and sometimes with miscarriages, the only way to know what the bleeding is, is to speak with your OB/GYN...good luck:-)

Its not actually called you period but it isn't uncommon to bleed. If it becomes excessive though go to a doctor and get is checked out but if it is a spot it isn't your period per say but rather just some blood.

I had my period up until the 7th month of my first pregnancy. It is possible it will not be a normal period though it will be shorter and lighter. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut feeling. Good luck.

I hear that it is possilble. I had some spotting while I was pregnant, but not a regular cycle.
If that was the case for me, I would make sure to contact my doctor to make sure there is nothing wrong and the give myself peace of mind.
