I'm on birth control, and have been for the past 6 months or so. I normally have my period when I'm supposed to (during the last week of my pills). I had my period last month when I was supposed to, but started what seems to be another one last Wednesday. It's just as heavy as a normal period and came with mood swings, tears, and all! I even took a pregnancy test to make sure that I wasn't pregnant since I've been feeling nauseous when I eat and stuff too. Without stating the obvious of telling me to see my Dr. which I cannot do right now, what could be the issue here?

Birth control isn't 100% effective...you could be pregnant although with a negative test, not sure of the chances of that...you really do need to see your doc though...

...if you can't do that, get on your pill's website and see if there is any info there of chances of unexpected periods and the like...

Good luck.

That happen to me when I first started taking birth control ..well i had been on it for a while about 5 months and I went to the doctor and they said it was the birth control and put my on Yasmen and It hasnt happen since then..So it could just be your birth control. But as soon as you can you need to go to the dr. casue they seen me right away casue they said it wasnt good for you to bleed like that unless you've had a child.

Sometimes the body will shift gears and yes, you can have two periods in one month. It is IMPORTANT to follow up with your OB doctor as there are other things that could cause it and tests needed to confirm it.

Don't waste time, call in, and be seen by your doctor.
