Figure out a subject that you are the most interested in, passionate about and have experience in and start from there. Write an outline to give you an idea of what you want to cover in the book and them write freestyle for a while. You can always go back to what you have written randomly and use what appeals to you for the book.

Just write an outline and the first few paragraphs-that can give you a good idea of where you're going. And remember that you can change it if you aren't satisfied with the way it's coming out. Some of the stuff I'm writing went through a few incarnations between my initial concept and the way it is right now.

First u need to think of a basic idea. Then u make a plan for how the plot is going to turn out. This will probably be rewritten a few times. Then u can start writting it - u will also probably go through a good few drafts of this. Then read it through and when ur happy send it out to publishers.

Outline...write it chapter by chapter... Put a chapter or two on the 'net like at a groups dot msn site you create and ask other to read to get feedback... maybe get a cult following of your book... do research into what publishers publish books like the one you are writing... contact publishers and see if they are interested in publishing... Back-up your work, I got a laptop stolen once with my novel on it...
