Potatoes came from south America , the native Indians cultivated them , Sir Walter Raleigh bought them back to this country for Queen Elizabeth along with the tobacco to make himself rich, Have you never heard the story , that when a servant saw Sir Walter smoking he chucked a bucket of water over him thinking he was on fire
