try using a code. first do ctrl-c, then type in rose bud. that's the start code, so the computer knows your using a code. then do ctrl-c again, then type in move_objects on. then click on the furniture mode and you can move the ppl around! don't forget the s on objects!
ps i'm not sure about sims 2 but that worked on sims 1

I've had that happen one million occasions!! That's probably the most many system faults of Sims 2 lol. That you can both wait until they transfer themselves, or use the 'moveObjects on' cheat and transfer them, then tell them to do anything. Or you could store the game, go to the neighborhood, return to the lot, and they should be back to typical. It is higher than restarting the whole game.

i've got had that take place a million cases!! it particularly is between the numerous equipment faults of Sims 2 lol. you are able to the two wait until they pass themselves, or use the 'moveObjects on' cheat and pass them, then tell them to do regardless of. or you are able to save the interest, pass to the community, return to the lot, and that they could be returned to regularly occurring. it particularly is extra helpful than restarting the entire interest.

clean your disc with a wipe you use to clean Cd's
put the vacuum cleaner on the PlayStation to suck up the dust
use a CD head cleaner on the disc drive and I'm afraid you'll
have to start the game again
delete the saved data from your memory card as it's corrupted
it will probably help if you save on two memory cards when you get to nearing the end of the game as more info you have the more it sticks i had to wipe my memory card 6 times and re start again 7 times before i finished and completed the game
good luck
note if you move your main Sim from one location to another while someone who moves with them is using something you won't be able to use that item again or move it. so i used to make sure that my main dude had his Buddie with him or his Buddie was in work before i moved house,
or you can quit to the last place you saved but still clean your disc etc as they do get real dusty and will slow down the system

Seriously, if you didn't save the game with them that way, just get out of the game and don't save. When you start up again, just avoid that situation. There may also be a patch at EA games for this. (I just had a zombie stuck in my dorm room on Sims 2 University)

Restart the game and try again.
