Boy am I going to love this answer, MAC because while Gates was spending his monies after the two parted ways, on ads, commercials, everything to make Dell and pc's more affordable and at the forefront,
his ex-partner was quietly building a more expensive machine which can't get a cold, virus, crash, any of those mind numbing things that your PC does or could do just to drive you out of your mind. MAC also is for the artist, I do a lot of artwork and if I could afford a MAC, I would get one in a heartbeat.
I drove a Ferrari Dino Spider.
Then I got back into my sports car.
Once you've driven something like that Dino, you never want to go back, I used someone's MAC for some of my artwork, and then I went back to my computer.
There isn't one day when I boot this computer up that I don't long for the MAC, and my computer is sweet, still no comparison
I know PCs are easier, but if you have the money, it isn't as hard as you think to learn a MAC, and after you do, it will open up a world you didn't even know existed.
Good luck and God Bless

PC is better for customization, Windows, versitility, and ease of use. The major market today is PCs running WIndows. Though PCs run hot, they burn out, Windows does not have the best security, and Windows leaves it up to you to secure and use it. If you don't know how your out of luck. The Mac uses a different technology, the Operating system, OSX, Is very graphic oriented. You can find out how to use and do just about anything by looking around and trying things out. The good thing about their hardware is that it runs cool, it does not overheat as much as the PC, and it is custom built, so that it is harder to fool with, better for someone who does not want to customize, or younger children so they won't get into it. Now there are programs such as Parallels, BootCamp, etc. That let the Mac run Windows and other operating systems. Mac is very sound, is secure, and easy to use. In the end it depends what you are going for. Though now that Mac has bridged the gap between Windows and OSX I prefer a Mac.

then stick with a PC, there is no need to try to learn a mac unless you have a compelling reason to, such as graphic programs.
want to learn a new os, get started on linux.
--Edit--
Macs are for hipsters.
A pc is less secure because it is easier to use.
These problems with windows security are a far cry from the amount of software and help available.
I have a pc with no AV or anti-spyware and have no issues. Why, because I know how to avoid them. The cure for ignorance is a mac.

In my opinion, the Mac is much better. It has a lesser chance of getting viruses and spyware. I use the Mac for doing homework, and I hook my iPod up to it. I use the PC for some programming stuff that I do. Overall, I prefer Mac over PC. It is up to you as to what you get. Good luck,

âMac. Well, Dell didn't want to finance me on one of their PCs, so I got me a Mac. Boy am I glad Dell turned me down! I'm not into graphics or anything like that. I just use my Mac for Internet, photos, occasional music and some word processing. I especially like the OS interface and the ease of it's use, no crashes, no buggy software to install and no virus and spyware......yet anyway, to name a few reasons why IMO Macs are better.

I use a mac at work & although I havegotten used to it, it is still backwards to me. I can't right click the mouse & I hate that!
Macs may attract less viruses, but I still like my pc!
