Should I walk the stage this May?
For my entire 4 years of high school it has been Hell.
People have treated me like **** by ignoring me and acting as if I were not even a student there, or part of them.
I was never messed with or "bullied" or anything but when I WAS payed attention to it was in a BAD way. The only way I could get attention was from doing something wrong.
I once cried in class, sitting up front, and no one noticed or cared.
High School Hell Years. Bad HS years I had. Lonely, depressed, afraid, unsure, and no friends I had.
So why should I walk the stage @ graduation with all those assholes- be a part of them??
Should I or not? I know this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity n all, but I don't think I should.

I know that its hard when you feel like that in school, at one time I did also, you really should walk. Your graduaction day is something special...keep in your mind that this is your day and you will NOT allow anyone to ruin it, dont let people influence your thinking that you shouldnt walk. Who knows it might be fun, think also about how devestated your parents would be if you didnt.

In the first place, if you don't want to participate in your graduation ceremony, don't. I didn't do my college one and I don't regret it one bit. None of my friends were graduating at the same time as me so it seemed pointless. I took that time and spent it moving into my new apartment.

However, I think you should spend some time wondering what happened in high school. It's impossible that every single person you went to school with was mean. Maybe you are depressed and that's what keeps you from getting along with people. I would try and get some help. Unless you do, your post-high school years aren't going to be much better.

If it causes you too much grief, why put yourself through that situation. If you were my kid and told me how much you hated high school, I'd just take you out to dinner that night and enjoy your company and tell you how proud I was for you're putting up with all of that sh*it to graduate. Be sure to show your parents this letter and your question. They may not be aware of you're feelings. I went to nursing school and did very well (second in my class by 2 points), but I didn't walk either because I was so tired of all the b.s. at the end of the class, it just took all of the joy out of it. So I understand. Godloveya whatever you decide.
