I throw mine in the washer with some bleach and wash on the gentle cycle.

Just hang to dry, it will come out looking brand new.

If you have the thinner curtain you can only do this a few times.

I have the heavy duty one and it has lasted for over a year, I do this one a week.

DEAR, DEAR, DEAR, I am aware that someone mentioned purchasing a new one.

All of the people that gave such grand details as to how to clean the shower curtain is too much.

Do you mean the liner that hangs inside your tub or the decorative curtain on the outside??

If you mean the liner, by all means, toss it and buy a new for under $5.00. If you mean the curtain and it will not come clean, you will still have to buy a new one. What happened to it? They are all washable. Did you allow it to go too long without washing it? It could just be old and dirty.............They need to be washed about every three months, depending on usage.

I have a clear shower curtain liner to. I just toss it in the washer w/ Tide, then I hang it back up in the shower to air dry. Comes clear again every time! Good luck.

I can help on this one. I take the towels and include them in the wash with the shower curtain (works on clear and patterned) with a bit of bleach and a good detergent. If I can remember, I add some white vinegar in the rinse. If its really grungy, do it twice. But the towels will help agitate the film on them. Hang and dry. BEAUTIFUL! Good luck!

what i do to get mine clean is to take it down and wash it in the sink with warm soapy water (dawn dishsoap works best)and then hang it back up and dry it with a towel to keep any mold from reforming right away. If the mold wont come off with warm soapy water i then use some vingear on it and that usually does the trick but bc mold grows on moist things easliey you will have to reclean every few months.

Buy a liner- one that you hang on the inside while you shower while the cute one hangs on the outside. You can replace the liner for a couple of bucks every few months- way worth it not to have an extra chore.

Put it in the washing machine with a bit of detergent and some bleach, wash on cold and do not dry it, just take it out of the washer wet and rehang it, it usually can be done two times unless the curtain is damaged then just replace it.

I've washed mine in the washing machine, with towels, which cause friction and help get rid of the soap residue. I've read where adding vinegar to the rinse cycle helps but I've never tried this myself.

Try washing it in hot water on the gentle cycle. Wash it with a cup or so of white vinegar.

What is it made of, and what is on it?
If its mildew, you could soak it in a light bleach solution (about 1 tbsp. per 1 gal. of hot water). But bleach COULD make plastic brittle.
You could also soak it in Oxy Clean. It will remove just about anything (except mildew).
GOOD LUCK!!
