Well I don´t think they are going to play him. The selectors have just picked him. But, if he plays, then he should be batting at no. 3 or either no. 4. Because it´s simple: If they send him as a opener, then they might face a problem with their scoring rate. Sending him at no. 4 or no., would make no sense, a all. Because, then they would need some quick scoring or some clean hitting from a good clean hitter, and that is something that Jaffer can´t really do.

Rawal.

He will be a perfect foil with Sehwag at the other end.Sachin and Dravid can follow.Though he may be slow to start with he is capable of raising the tempo when the situation demands. With more and more exposure he will definitely lend solidity to the team.
The only drawback is he is another right hander.Given the opportunity he will definitely fill the void.

Having taken him in the team, he should open the innings with Virender Shewag. However, I do not think he will be given a chance atleast in the first game. May be if Shewag fails
in the first two matches, he will get a chance to open with
Sachin..

Yes. He is a solid batsman. He scored a century against England, and a double-century against West Indies in tests. I cant figure out why he was dropped despite this!!

If he is in final XI, should replace Sehwag, open the innings with Tendulkar.
