a negative emotion is natural. And, it depends on what you mean by "balancing" it. Are you having negative thoughts? If you are scared of your own negativity, I suggest telling yourself to shut off the KFUC, (thats what I call the negative radio station in one's head lol) And, come back to the thought when you are ready. In the meantime, do something else to take your mind off of things.

You force that negative emotion into a little ball and swallow it, keeping it inside. As you add to the ball, it will eventually get big enough to explode out of you in a flurry of fury. Then it will be gone and you no longer have to care about balance. But make sure you pack it as tight as you can or you'll have to explode a second time. Keep a priest nearby, it will give you the excuse you need to stay out of jail (because everyone will believe you are crazy or possessed, depending on their religious beliefs). They serve awesome pudding at the mental health facilities; trust me, I know.

Make love. Semen cointains powerful and potentially assictive, mood altering cheminicals, including testoterone, estrogen, prolactin, luteinizing hormone and prostaglandins. Some of these are absorved through the walls of the vagina and are known to elevate mood. Though research shows that women who dont use condom during the sex are less depressed, that doesnt mean you should practice unsafe sex. Studies have found no correlation between high risk sexual behavior and lower rates of depression (negative emotion). So while we can think of no better mood elevator than great mutually monogamous sex, high risk sex does not have the same benefits.

Don't worry about it. Unless you have some sort of disorder, neutrality about your negativity will balance it all out. I find I'm happy in my misery!
