Building anything that must be square involves right triangles. I'm a land surveyor and I use right triangles to do many things... like determine the height of a building by measuring vertical angles and determing the distance between two points that are not intervisible.

Definitely in all sorts of construction we need right triangles. You want walls to be square, you want steps to be level, you want door jabs and windows to be square, etc.
Lots of things have right angles (tiles, pieces of paper, picture frames, etc.) Things with right angles fit together well, so that's another reason we use them.
In planting a garden you might want to make sure your flower bed and vegetable garden was square, so you would use a right triangle. In fact you'll see people using a 3-4-5 triangle to make sure they are getting things square. They will measure 3 units one direction, then 4 units the other. When these two points are 5 units apart, they have a right angle...

There can be many. Consider the case of a surveyor wanting to find the height of a Church steeple. He takes his measurement from a distance of say 50m from the base of the steeple. He sights the Top of steeple using his theodolite and measures the angle. Say the angle is 60Deg. Can we compute the height of the steeple and inclined distance from steeple to his point of measurement. Try to do this. You will be able to solve this problem using Trigonometry and Pythagoras theorem. I will give you the answers. Height of steeple=86.6m, inclined dist.=100m.
Write to me if you have any difficulty.
