I went a jelwery store that's been in business for a long time. They had a buy up policy where you can turn in the diamond you have and get a larger one for a fee. Well, the salesperson was steering me away from certain rings...wouldn't even let me look at some and now I'm regretting my decision. Should I go back and look at more stones...talk to the manager? The ring is .75 ct Marquise brilliant. Color G clarity SI 1. I'm not sure of the quality of these ratings.

color sounds good, clarity is excellent. " A " color being the one with the fewest colorations and the rarest. A diamond in the D-E-F-G range would be considered good

If I were you I would first appraise the ring you bought and depending on the results you get you can decide if you were ripped off or not.

I would take it to a couple of other jewelers first to have them give you their opinions. If you dont like they're answers confront the seller.
