Quite honestly, it doesn't matter who you are or where you are, the arabs will always look at you with hate in their eyes! Whenever I see muslims(I live in South Africa by the way) they look at me with hate! If you are in their country your life is probably more at risk because you have everyone against you, including law enforcement! Why would you want to visit such a place anyway?

Technically there is no danger since the majority of Lebanies are not against the jews, but against some of Israels politics.
Some Jews live in Lebanon ans Syria and they make an effort to hide their Jewish simbols for two reasons, one is not to offend the muslims and second is to avoid conflicts with people who may mistake a jewish symbol to a pro Israel symbol, especially a star of David that for some represents the Israeli flag.
Go to Lebanon if you have a reason to but stay away from conflict. Most will have no problem with you being Jewish especially the religiouse ones who will respect another religious who beleives in one God (in case you ware a yamaka).
Have fun and stay safe.

Depends on why his visiting!
If it's tourism, you don't have to be too load about it. It would cause some staring or endless political debates with taxi drivers if your walking around looking very religious!
There are still some Lebanese Jews living in Lebanon, the people who know them are cool about it (neighbors, friends, colleagues) but a foreigner, especially American? they might wanna know a little about your political views.
It also depends on which part of town you're at.
so if you want a politic-free quite holiday, don't wear your religion!

I do not think you need to broadcast the subject. Most people are OK---but, you could run into that one fanatic, and----------------.
I am going to Jordan, Egypt, and Lebanon. I do not plan to wear my Star of David while there. Someone may think I am flaunting it.

He doesn't have to hide the fact of his being Jewish. But if he wants to get out alive, he may want to.
