This is my whole team, including the subs:
Strikers: VanNistelrooy (HOL) Savchenko (UKR) Raul (ESP) Henry (FRA)
Midfield: Beckham (ENG) Viera (FRA) Ballack (GER) Totti (ITA) Figo (POR) Maniche (POR) Gattuso (ITA) Pirlo (ITA)
Defenders: Thuram (FRA) Terry (ENG) Cannavaro (ITA) Zambrotta (ITA) Carvalho (POR) Nesta (ITA)
Stam(HOL) Puyol (ESP)
Goalkeepers: Buffon (ITA) Cech (CZE) Casillas (ESP)
As you can see there is a strong World Cup influence, since many of these players landed on the 2006 World Cup allstar team. It would depend on where the game was played. The
climate can have a big impact. If the game was played in hot conditions, that would probably favor the South Americans.
If it was played in cold conditions, that would favor the Europeans. I think it also would depend on the style of football played. Tight defensive football would favor the Europeans you would think based on tradition, while the wide open offensive style would favor the South Americans, since they have more
flair with the ball traditionally in terms of control, passing and shooting. They are more creative than the Europeans usually.
Note to fatima_b: South Americans are Americans. America
consists of North, Central and South America. America means
more than just the United States "of" America. The "of" means
part of something bigger. America can just mean the USA, or
it can mean North, Central and South America.

America players would win, they have the style, the touch, speed, strength, a lot of european players are not as complete as americans. I'd have:
Goalie: Dida
Central Defenders: Lucio and Rafa Marquez
LefWing: Roberto Carlos
RightWing: Cicinho
Midfielders: Kaka, Ronaldinho, Riquelme, Ze Roberto
Forwards: Ronaldo and Crespo

americans don't have a chance in hell - that world cup game against italy was fixed anyway come one. Americans should stick to what they are good at incinerating muslims, basic games like football and baseball that no other countries bother to play except a few. How about a more intelligent question like european players against south american players
