The rhythm method of birth control is what you are seeking. Basically, your wife plots her cycles on a calendar. Ovulation (egg release for fertilization) usually occurs mid-cycle. Several days prior to mid-cycle & several days following mid-cycle practice abstinence. Here is a link for more specific details:

Also, if you continue to read the other pages on this topic you will learn other methods for determining when ovulation occurs.

You are takeing a chance every time. A woman can even get pregnant (it is highly unlikely though) if you make love during her period. I have an IUD. It is a blessing. It is a one time expense that is good for 5 years, but I could have it taken out early if I would like (say to get pregnant). There are also ones for 10 years. It is wonderful because it is inside of me and it prevents pregnancy. The guy doesn't have any problems and I don't have the worry every month. I suggest you use something because other wise you are going to end up with a little stranger that you didn't plan on.

14 days after her period her estrogen and progesterone increased. During this time she will ovulate when the mature ovum is released from the follicle. The corpus luteum turns yellow immediately quantities o progesterone to prepare the uterine lining for a fertilized egg. The about 12 days after ovulatio the corpus luteum degenerates if fertilization does not occur and her hormone levels decrease. The decrease of hormones causes the endometrium to break down resulting in her menstruation.
As for pulling out before you ejaculate. You still pre ejaculate prior to ejaculation which still carry semen. That is not a good idea. Several girls say "He pulled out before he came" Not understanding that a small amount of semen can still get a female pregnant.
I hope this helped.

Screw someone past menopause. Pulling out doesn't work, substances can be secreted out of the penis without ejaculation. You can get pregnant at any time in the cycle. The highest chance is 30% during ovulation, the lowest is 8% during menses. But it is never zero even with barriers and birth control.

What do you call couples who use the rythem method?
Parents.
My husband loves that joke. Try to figure out when she ovulates, most fertile time of the month. I can actually feel when I am ovulating, pain in one side for a day. Everyone is different.

You can buy an ovulation kit from the chemist to let you know when she is most fertile so you know when to avoid doing the deed. Obviously nothing is 100% definate so chances are you may get caught out.

The best way to prevent it is not to have sex unless you have surgery but with surgery if you havent had kids you might change your mind one day and then it will be even harder to get that surgery undone..
Some people said you can pull out but that doesnt always work my cousin got pregnate and they pulled out..
