then go buy my hubby a cristmas present, Im a stay at home mom and Im making pies for my town for the holidays(homemade) so I can buy my hubby A x-mas gift and no body is buying them here every on knows how to cook (sobs) not fair

I wouldn't be offended, but I would wonder just how they got that inside information. It wouldn't keep me from saying thank you & asking if they were sure they thought they could spare that much money themselves before I accepted the generous gift. If they really couldn't afford to do this, I would graciously decline the offer no matter how much I might need the money.

Offended by someone wanting to give me money, no strings attached? Can't think of a reason why i would be, heck-I'd take the money and run. If they have it to give..why not. Of course I would shout out a great big "Thank You!!"

Well he'd probably be right. Offended or not, I'm still taking the money.
Now if he were to say "Here ya frickin' bum. Go by yourself some decent clothes." I'd probably punch him in the face......and then take the money.

I would be so overjoyed I might forget to say Thank You, or I would probably reach out and hug that person. I might also add I'm poor, I was born poor, and will die poor, But I'm not stupid!

NO. IF IT WERE TRUE AND I REALLY DID NEED THE MONEY THEN WHY BE OFFENDED? I THINK IT'S A PRIDE THING. PEOPLE LET THEIR PRIDE GET IN THE WAY.
