When I was little, and I did something bad, I would always ask my mother a hypothetical question, asking what would happen if I did "this", Or how would she fix it if she did "that". And usually I managed to fix it from her answers.

So, if there was no such thing as a hypothetical question, I would have been in a lot of trouble when I was a little kid

We'd still be living in caves. That's an exaggeration, of course. but it's true that we wouldn't have science. Hypothetical questions are at the root of hypotheses, and hypotheses are at the root of scientific thinking.

Oh yeah, humans would also be a lot less funny. Comedians often use hypothetical questions as a launching pad for creating new material.

Anyway, that's an awesome question. It made my head asplode a little.

The query is by no ability rather hypthetical. As some have observed, if it have been, it would not exist. even with the indisputable fact that, the word, "hypothetical query" is meant to set a hypthetical context. it often ability that the guy who's asking would not have the braveness to admit that he/she actual needs the respond. in reality, the hypthetical context is often very on the brink of the reality. So I take hypothetical questions heavily except the questioner abandons the communication. Even then, I often sense that the entire technique has opened my eyes to three reality the questioner is afraid to communicate approximately.
