It's just another prime example of Rush's hypocrisy. He talks ad nauseam about how much he loves his country, but he's not willing to put his life on the line for it. Ditto with Dubya and Dick Cheney on that one, too.

Rush Limbaugh is a person who specializes in politics and has a talk show for it. Freedom of speach. John Murtha is a politician and he is not the angel that the democrats make him out to be. Rush has the right to put a target on the man's back because he has made some stupid statements. For example:
In November 2005 Murtha announced that a military investigation into the Haditha killings concluded U.S. Marines had killed innocent civilians.Referring to the first report about Haditha that appeared in Time magazine, Murtha said:
It's much worse than reported in Time magazine. There was no fire fight. There was no IED that killed these innocent people. Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood. And that's what the report is going to tell.
Now, you can imagine the impact this is going to have on those troops for the rest of their lives and for the United States in our war and our effort in trying to win the hearts and minds.
Here is a web page you can look at for those who oppose the man. http://www.bootmurtha.com/

Okay I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh, but last time I checked we still had free speech in this country. You certainly have recourse if you don't like the commentary. Last time I looked that were 2 knobs on every radio, one changes the channel and the other turns it off.
Now to Murtha, his phased redeployment plan is ridiculous. It is essentially a surrender and will not solve the problems presented by the war. We need new direction, but just picking up our toys and going home is not the answer. In case you are wondering yes I have served honorably and feel free to criticize Murtha all I want.

unfortunately it's the same first amendment right that neo nazis and the KKK have to speak publicly.
Limbaugh? hell we kicked his @ss out of Kansas City back in the '80s because he was so full of crap and then he goes to NY and get a national audience. Go figure.
Murtha? Funny how he can be a respected Democratic congressman, revered by republicans because of his hawkish opinions. But then says something truthful that Bush doesn't want to hear and then he's called everything but a child of god.

The First Amendment lets Rush spout off and Murtha dribble as much as they each want.
If Murtha wants to be in politcs and voice his opinion he should expect that people will respond to what he says.

I suppose its bacause Rush fought hard to get his deferments from military service, . and Murtha did not even bother to try to get deferred from the draft. If Jonh Murtha was a REAL patriot he would have had " other priorites" as Rush did.

Your reasoning is poor.
1. One does not have to serve in the military to comment, compliment, or criticize a military member.
2. Being in the military does not give one carte blache to do and say what they wish.
3. You're ignoring some of Murtha's unethical conduct and statements.

He has the right to attack anyone and everyone, which is his nature. If you consider the source, most of his attacks are debunked.
By the way---did you know that his radio program is free to any radio station that wants it? Most syndicated radio programs charge the stations that carry them.
