is there any way you can edit or change the icons in my computer,i want tio know so i can change the dvd-rw drive icon as i have installed a new dvd-rw drive ,but it comes up with a cd-rom icon but it is named dvd-rw....the dvd rom (2nd drive )comes up with a normal dvd rom icon with the name dvd underneath it
any ideas

right clicking a dvd-rw icon and selecting properties will not give you a customizing option ,so this method is unavalible
i reckon this may be a registry edit to slove this problem

If you have XP, then right click on the icon, and then left-click on properties. In the properties tab, you will find a change icon tab. Click on this, and select the icon you wish to use from the list. You may need to have a CD or DVD of some description in the drive, but idle when you do this.
