Hey I'm 51 and my fiance would tell you in a flash that I'm still one also. There are many of us left, but sometimes just either hard to find of ashamed of showing their true colours.

Does that mean at 39 you haven't found the princess you have been looking for? Then, yes, you are a dying breed. What does "hopeless romantic" mean anyway? There is no hope of you having romance? Dude, you can have anything you want if you're willing to pay the price. Most people who say they are "hopeless romantics" are simply afraid to commit to anything. Godloveya.

I hate to say this because you are intitalled to your opinion. But you are wrong the only reason I say this is because I am a hopeless romantic myself. I am 24 years old and I am still a virgin and am going to remain so until I find my soul mate and am married. If that is not a hopless romantic then I don't know what is. And I am sure me and you arn't the only hopless romantics in this world either.

No you are not wrong There are lots of you romantics types around, though Ill admit that sometimes these days everything seems to be done at break neck speed which isn't always conducive for proper romance.

Cypher,you are not the only hopeless romantic about, there are loads of us out here, of varying ages too-so do not be too despondant, your luck WILL change eventually, you will see-there is someone out there for all of us,we just haven't found each other yet!

i have 2 male friends, and they are in they 40s and they haven't lost they virginity, thinking of doing so only with they special person. They are very sweet an gentleman towards women, more romantic than that?

you are correct surveys show that men are getting more and more romantic. we are nicking idea off the french and italian and generally men are sexier. sorry mate you better up your game if u want to catcha lady
