Tom Cruise played the character Lestat in Interview w/ a vampire. And actually when I read the book, several years before the movie came out, I had actually picture him being played by David Bowie. Read the book its sooo much better!

But anyway for female Claudia (Interview) Dunst did a fantastic job, when I read the book, I was wondering how they would portray her in a movie, someone who looks like a 5 year old, but acts 40,
Male, def. Bela Legosi, there is no competition

Tom Cruise played the vampire 'Lestat' in 'Interview'. Stuart Townsend played 'Lestat' in the follow-up, 'Queen Of The Damned'.
However, MY favorite movie vampire (male) is without a doubt, Stephen Geoffrey's 'Evil Ed' from 1985's 'Fright Night' starring Roddy McDowell. Just born to play a vampire! I don't really have a fave female (other than the little girl from 'Interview') because there just haven't been any good ones that stood out on their own, as of yet. :-)

I definately have to vote for Bela Legosi. I didn't really like Underworld nor Blade and the Interview/Queen of the Damned movies just didn't live up to my imagination. My other favorite has to be Gary Oldman in Bram Stroker's Dracula.

I will agree with Selene from Underwood because there not many female vampires out there, but I have to go with Angel and Spike from the series Angel. Now I don't know if your looking for straight movies but they definitely should qualify cause the series was hot. both characters had a since of humor and kicked A**....one

Female: Selene
Male: Paul Reubens (a.k.a. Pee Wee Herman) in the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Sometimes comic vampires are more fun than serious ones.

Well, if it HAS to be from "Interview", I'd say Brad Pitt's "Louie"...he was like Tristan from "Legends of the Fall", beautiful and sad! Kirsten Dunst's character (was that Claudia?) was superb! I also liked Antonio Banderas.

How can we forget Gary Oldman's "Dracula" from Coppola's film of the same name? He was gross...but so scary!

But WAIT! I've gotta say this...what about James Marsters as SPIKE (from "Buffy")?! He's the Vampires' Billy Idol...so surly AND cool!

Also, Mercedes McNab, as Harmony, from both "Buffy" and "Angel" gets my vote as the FUNNIEST vampire!
