Try the Pacific Coast Trail. It starts in San Diego County and ends in Washington. It takes an experienced hiker 6 mos. Happy trails!!

You start at the foot of the trail. There are fees if you camp in actual camp grounds otherwise if you just pitch your tent in the forest, it's free. There will be charges for parking, so make sure your car is somewhere secure.

The question is more like where do I like to start and that's at the top and work my way down. And you know there's no fees for pitching a tent.

at the bottom of the trail and some parks have camping fees but i dont know were you are going....can i come?

climb Mt. Edna. No fees but quite a serious crack to traverse.
