A professor wrote me a letter of recommendation for grad school that only takes up half the page single-spaced. Is that acceptable?

Most of the letters I wrote for students were about 3/4 of a page. Some of those students got into top five law schools and the top ranked MBA program.

The letter that got me into my PhD program at Berkeley was only a half page long.

(Once again I have to say I agree with Taranto! How many times am I going to have to say that?!)

The most important letter I got was only three sentences long. However it was from one of the top men in the field.

Who it's from and what he says is more important the how much he says.

Besides, what are you going to do? Go back to the guy and complain about how little he wrote? Like that will help you get a better letter!
