First place people should go if they have an issue. From my 3 seconds spent at google it looks like some type of ad/spyware or a potential virus. Run an online virus scan at:
www.trendmicro.com
www.kaspersky.com
www.bitdefender.com
also get Spybot and Adaware (both from downloads.com). Intsall both, update both, shut "System Restore" completely off (no need to restore the virus after you delete it), then boot to safe mode and run scans with them.
Scanning with a good antivirus will also prevent you from having to open regedit and manually deleting keys, something a novice user should NEVER do without someone looking over their shoulder. Unless you never want your pc to boot again without a reformat and reinstall of windows that is ;)

Did you install a program about the time this problem started happening? If so, try de-installing the program.

If not, run a virus checker. If you don't have one installed on your machine, you can get a free virus scan online.

it may only be a virus and or spyware or from the looks of it your cpu may be going bad i would start with updating your antivirus and antispyware and running them in safe mode then go to this site and follow the if yourcomputer runs slow if the problem continues then take it to a shop http://bartman1.blogspot.com/
